I had read many reviews about the "Mystery Box" but never ordered. Finally I thought "what the heck"... I'll do it! I was pleasantly surprised! If bought individually, the items I received were worth more than 3 times the price of the "Mystery Box". That's a fact! My box included 3 card effects with one of those being "Marry Kiss Kill" which uses cards but NOT presented as a card trick. Also an interesting mental effect with travel brochures. Plus "The Keys of Solomon" deck of cards. It was fun to open a box with no clue what I would find! Not sure if I will use all items but will play with all. Worth the cost for the fun and exposure to things I probably would not have sought out on my own. Treat yourself sometime!

A good selection this month. Two I will use 100%. The other, not so much. Well worth the price though and the playing cards were great!

I've enjoyed all of the mystery boxes I've ordered from you guys, and this one is no different, although there was one trick in this box that I was disappointed with (I won't say the name to retain the mystery of the box). I don't know if the unit included in my box just had a faulty gimmick or if the gimmick for this trick doesn't work like it was intended to in general, but the gimmick did not work in the way the instructions said it would. Other than that one trick, the rest of the box was really cool and I look forward to toying around with some of the other tricks I got!

Its always hard (and risky) to purchase something that is a mystery product. This is the first time I have done this and am in two minds if I will do it again (maybe I will). The products in the box were all professional magic effects and of the four items there was only one that I would use myself. However, the cost of the box still made the purchase worthwhile . The value of the box was easily 3 times (maybe 4 times) the purchases price. I was happy with the purchases.

WOW , finally got this opened on Father’s Day , I wasn’t disappointed . One of the tricks on its on was worth the price of the box as it said in the description on the monthly box advertising. In this case it was a lot more in total . It might not always be like that who knows that’s part of the fun . The great thing is that the tricks in the box I wouldn’t even been looking for as I’m still learning and basically have no idea as there’s so much to choose from . Getting a mystery box solves that problem . I’ll buy one a month hopefully

Holy cow Batman, what a bargain! I've got no idea how they put all these things in for this price. Like a lot of people, I immediately did a price comparison and there's a MASSIVE 2/3 SAVING. I don't know anywhere (except maybe double glazing or solar panels) where I could find a near 70% off deal. I love this, and am so grateful to the Merchant of Magic team. (Oh, and I rated this as beginner, but with the range included there's a bit of everything so in terms of skill level, I'd say beginner as an average rating.)

The one thing that is not a mystery about the mystery box is value for money

I received Premiere by Nikolas Mavresis and David Jonathan. This is a really powerful but really easy trick to perform with a kicker ending that will blow your spectaculars mind. No difficult moves so being a beginner it was right up my street. Would highly recommend

This is my first mystery box. I was a tad apprehensive in purchasing something that I had no idea what I was going to receive. I am very glad I did. I'm guessing the theme this month was cards as all my box was card tricks, except for a vintage Supreme magic book. Overall I was very happy with what I received. Would I purchase another mystery box..... Definitely. It was exciting waiting to see what arrives and also hoping that it was good stuff, it was and I'm practicing away. Highly recommended.

Well what can I say, Merchants Of Magic are the most awesome guys to deal with, the Mystery Box that I received was absolutely amazing & should have been worth more many times over, the totally amazing book included was easily worth £35.00 on it's own, would I buy another of these amazing boxes, hell yes, just about to order my next one

Amazing value! In my mystery box I think the total cost to buy the items individually would have been four or five times as much. Of course, I wouldn't have bought them all individually but at this price, if I use 1 or 2 of them it's still great value. I will order again.

This months(march) mystery box was great as it contained a wide variety of tricks. Enough to keep any magician new or old happy and content. The box does offer good value for money and I think this months was the best so far. I have ordered many and its fair to say some are OK but this months was outstanding for both value and content. Very much looking forward to Aprils offering and hopefully you guys at Merchant Of Magic can out do yourselves. Thank you for making this available.

Wow, amazing gift! It has arrived exactly on my birthday! I checked on the store, it is over £ 150 worth. Maybe I wouldn't have picked all those specific products, but it is an incredible value for money and I'm pleased about it

Some tricks were easy but visually very good a couple of others are a bit more difficult but with practice I'm sure I will be able to perform them. I can't wait because they have killer endings.

Having seen so many great reviews for the monthly mystery box I decided to give it a go. The quality and range of the tricks provided are superb. It's absolutely great value, this is my second one and won't be my last. Even the Haribos are a great touch, 5*

When I checked the value of the individual items I was very impressed with what I received within the mystery box, perhaps not things I would've normally selected but certainly things I'll consider using & good to keep me challenged. The Haribo was a nice extra too!

Despite one duplicate product from another recent mystery box this still represents unparalleled value for money. My box this month was worth over £110 individually. Great mix as ever, continuing to challenge. Top work MOM

Awesome! Got this for Christmas, I can’t wait to get stuck in and learn the tricks. By my reckoning there’s about £135 worth of magic in my mystery box, what great value!

This was my fiorst mystery box and to be honest I was a bit concerned about what I would get and would I be able to perform any of the tricks in there. On the first point the contents were indeed worth much more than that cost of the purchase probably 4 or 5 times the cost. On my ability to perform them well 2 of them I was using in the space of a few minutes. the others require some work on my part, but thats down to my abilitys and not the quality of the items which I cannot fault. The deck of cards was nice although I''m not a collector of card decks but the black with red foil finish will make a nice change and add some colour to any routine. I probably wouldn't buy one every month as income and ability can't keep up :) but I can certainly see why others do. On the whole well done MOM!

Great tricks, well worth more than the price of the box. Was unsure about ordering but I would recommend anyone who is thinking of purchasing one to do it.

It was worth it just for ETMCM vol5 for paramount. There were some other gems in there, one of which I will use all the time

September box was 6 stars so I had a great birthday! Haven't really tried the tricks yet but rrp was almost £100 so great value for money gets 5 stars alone. No DVDs included which is perfect because I don't have DVD player. If it had included a super cool obscure deck like gaff or something instead of NOC pro again I would have given 7 stars. I wasn’t sure what to expect when I ordered this, and was pleasantly surprised when I opened the box. All manner of tricks, ranging from self working to easy to intermediate. Excellent value for money when I totalled up what it would have cost me if they were bought individually.

I have often looked and wondered whether to purchase a mystery box, and I was very pleasantly surprised with the contents. 6 items, one of which sells for double the cost of the mystery box. Plus a complimentary packet of sweets, thanks.

I've now bought two of these, September and October 2023. The September one was pretty solid, though entirely card magic. The October one was honestly a bit disappointing with most of the products being cheap-seeming, overly-gimmicky stuff, though I will say it was more varied (all close-up effects but 4 different kinds). Overall I would say I'm happy with the purchases and both boxes had something that I'll use, but it depends on the month I suppose!

I purchased the Mystery Box on a whim , and with a degree of caution. The obvious concern being that the box might contain over-stocked and under-sold items that needed to be cleared out. However, my cynicism was undeserved - the box contained a selection of fun and engaging items that were well worth the price. Keep up the good work!

Actually I can't really rate this yet as I bought if for my wife to give me as a Christmas present!!!! I will rate it after Christmas.

As a hobbyist the great selection they contain really do challenge my preferences and make me consider other skills. This is my third one and cannot recommend enough. Two tricks alone in the last one were worth the cost. Thank you, as ever.

I’ve just opened my September mystery box and I am very very happy to say the least. Things provided are worth well more than the cost of the box and a good variation of tricks to learn and use will definitely be buying again. I love this website and how helpful the guys are who work there. If you’re not sure whether to buy the mystery box or not, or like me thinking certain things or the box I can tell you now go for it it’s well worth the money. Thought the mystery box was fab

Another fantastic mystery box. It came with 4 + 1 items. First out of the box was a gambling themed trick with cards and a poker chip. Second came a limited edition deck of cards with futuristic pip designs and handle very smoothly. Third was a card trick with a great ending. Fourth was a phone app that works on iPhone or Android with preset for Tamariz and Aronson stacks or you can input your own. A truly amazing app. The plus one is a bag of sweets! With a total value way over the price paid, another bargain this month.

Nice range of products received but more of Card magic. Am happy with the previous Mystery box from Merchant of Magic and hence bought another one in July too.

Overall I'm happy but a little disappointed with the mystery box, 3 out of the 4 tricks included are great and ill certainly have fun learning them, the 4th however (a deck of cards produced from a failed kickstarter) was a little lackluster due to the kickstarter owner only producing the cards and not the promised full experience, this is not the sellers fault of course, but could have been replaced by another deck of cards, and in my opinion should of been, this inclusion feels more of an opportunity to ship unsellable stock than surprising and delighting the buyers.

Did not like the particular selection for the mystery box. I do not think I would order "blind" again

My first, but not the last mystery box from Merchant of Magic. A great idea, and I loved not knowing what was in the box before it came. Almost like Schrödingers Magic lol. The items that came were definitely worth the price, but the reason for the 4 stars is that it was all to do with card magic. I love card magic, but have studied it for 15 years and was hoping for something that would totally surprise me. That being said, the products are excellent and one of the effects supplied has gone straight into my working routines and has already got great reactions! Thank you… I’ve already ordered Junes mystery box. Could you do a monthly subscription?

Some differences from the last box but far to many card tricks for my liking as I not a fan of card tricks as I’m more of a prop person but it was ok for the money if you’re a card magician but hope to see something a little different next time.

Great items in the box

Best box so far.....though I've loved every one I've bought. My only gripe...nobody's fault....I find some of the instructions difficult to access. It's the modern world I suppose.

After reading many 5 star reviews I must a mit I was disappointment with the mystery box I purchased. I appreciate the contents of each box are pot luck but this was beyond disappointing. Opening the box I found a book, a pack of cards, a small bag of sweets and a trick called MALICE - the only physical trick. The cards were great , the book OK, but MALICE came with a link that didn’t work. What is the point of this. I emailed and got a response quickly, sending me a new link but this should have been thought about. Very disappointing and not something I will buy again.

It is my first time getting a mystery box from merchant of magic. The tricks in the mystery box were AMAZING. One was quite complex but all you needed was a bit of sleight of hand. It came with a pouch of Haribos and 2 merchant of magic branded sweets. Overall the set was amazing but for one of the tricks there was no bicycle deck of cards. (Which you needed) It was worth more than it was bought for and it wasn't dissapointing.

Another great selection of interesting effects, well worth the price as usual. I missed having a book to read as all the previous mystery boxes have contained one. Too much card tricks

Great assortment you receive well worth the money. Downside is getting duplicate magic ie I now have 2zenith packs, but still good value that alone is 30 quid so work it out

The box was great if your into card tricks but I’m not really a card trick person myself so I’m giving 5/10 for effort as you Cannot please everyone as I’m of a prop person.

This was my first mystery box purchase, and I wasn't disappointed. I'm very new to magic, and there was one trick in there that I would never have the confidence to use (and reading online reviews, even some experienced magicians avoid it because the risk of damaging a spectator's property is too great). There was a trick that I'd be able to do given a build up in my experience, and there was a great trick for starters which I've used a few times and it's blown everyone away. And a lovely regular pack of cards to round the box out. The retail value of everything in the box was WAY more than the price of the box. I've already got my order in for April's box!

I partically liked the party time item with the shot glass. However it does require Red or blue Bicycle cards to carry out the illusion. It would of been appreciated if these were include in the mystery box, especially as another deck of cards was included which were not compatible.
