Borrow a 1p coin from a spectator. Using a small piece of paper and pencil you make an impression of the penny on the paper. You then put a drop of water on the impression and rub it in until the image disappears. You say that when the impression disappears, so does the penny.

Lift the paper slowly and show that the penny is completely gone.

Your hands are completely empty, you are clean and you can give the paper away.

I guess most of us would have figured out where the gimmick is centred,but it is,in fact very slick and free of angle problems. At the moment,I'm having a problem with the vanish. It really is simple in itself,but not so easy to make it smooth AND silent.Working it on an uncovered table can be an obvious givaway,.Like most illusions,it's going to take more practice than I had anticipated,but it's a really nice vanish when done competantly.
