I am sure that once I have mastered the necessary craft skills I will be happy to perform this. There is quite a lot of preparatory work required, and you will need two different types of specialist glue (both available from Merchant of Magic). I suspect that the craft work needed is the more difficult aspect of this illusion as, if you get it right, the work you have done will do most of what is needed make the performance successful, aside from your own panache and careful choreography with the tearing. I have to admit that I am still at the 'get the crafting right' stage at the moment so I haven't been able to practice to my satisfaction but I can see the potential!

The effect when watched on video is excellent. Once you get down to the nitty gritty of preparing and presenting the trick then things are not quite as straight forward as one would like. It needs a lot of preparing, the risk of something going pair shaped is strong, you would need to go through a lot of material to attain a degree of confidence, and like the creator himself says towards the end of the video that he recommends only using it in certain situations. Not an effect that you can pull out and perform carte blanche as it needs to be prepared then presented in a short period after preparing.

In my opinion, it's very fidgety and time consuming to set up... also, in the clip, it's says it can be handed out for a gift to people.. they'll then spot straight away how the trick was done. . It's not a bad trick.... but not for me.... thanks.

Annoying to make my own gimmick (simple enough, I'm just lazy) but understandable why. This effect is very clever and excellent value for money, I am very pleased with the purchase..

Love doing this In my opinion Ben is one of the best creative minds out there, he makes impossible seeming illusions which are often simple in their concept and performance but always deliver incredible reactions. OCL is by far one of my favourites from Ben, I bought this a number of years ago and still love doing it. It does require some set up and crafting but the time put in to this is well worth it. It is quite straightforward to perform there are angles but these are easily dealt with and Ben will show you exactly how to use your best tools, your hands, to deal with these. Bens teaching is always engaging and clear, I think I probably have all of his effects and have never had any issues understanding how to perform.
