This is definitely at the self-working end of beginner; the only reason I'd say it's a beginner effect is because there's one tiny sleight involved, which believe me, is barely a sleight at all. If you want to do it the hard way, then there is some memory work involved, though there's also a method where it's not required.
Overall, this is a really cool idea for fans of Clue/Cluedo or for murder-mystery fans in general. It makes use of a couple of age-old mentalism principles in a new and clever way, and the result is an entertaining piece of mentalism that's well worth the price of purchase. With a bit of work and creativity, it could even be adapted to other stories or scenarios, since all you need are three envelopes, three notecards, and a pen.

I have been looking for a murder mystery theme for a while, and this fitted the bill perfectly.
It works very cleanly and I particularly like the way of handling the first choice.
I'm thinking of varying the presentation slightly by actually using the Cluedo cards, pictured

Although veey simple and straightforward, this effect does need some work to tell the story and distract from the funny business going on just in case someone in your audience figures it out - very unlikely but you never know! It's good to see existing principles being combined so well but, to be brutally honest, I'm glad I'm not doing the German version! (If you want to know why that is, you just have to buy this - OK?!!)

Excellent working of an established routine. Love it

This is a fabulous mentalist routine which needs nothing more than three envelopes, three pens, three business cards, a drawing pad, and a large marker. The routine solves one of the main challenges of such mind reading presentations, justifies the methods, and combines them with a fantastic narrative that will appeal to audiences all over the world. This routine makes the 'science of deduction' meet mind reading in a hugely entertaining way. Highly recommended.

A subtle combination of methods, not difficult to master with an easy natural crib. Strong effect. It will take a modicum of practice but poses no technical difficulties. I am looking forward to performing this. A very good value download.

Made a mess first time. Very straight forward but do practise first.

Living on a small island with no interaction with other magicians finding suitable material is very difficult with my often purchasing something that looks good but once I have it in my hands proves to be unsuitable or I’m not comfortable using it. This is a masterpiece of simplicity, well explained and scripted. I have used it in Parlour and table hopping and it always gets a great reaction.
I cannot recommend this one enough!

Just downloaded this. Very nice and well structured. I've looked and tweaked with a number of CLUE effects, none as well scripted as this. I think this is a real winner.

I just got this, all I can say is WOW! this is the way an ebook should be created. Besides the top notch quality of the ebook this is a real worker. Straight into the act this will go.

This is a good deal. Solid mentalism

The routine is fantastic, but when you see how beautiful the e-book is put together, you'll fall out of your chair. Seriously, this is one of the nicest I've seen in a while.

There is some very clever handling; I especially like the first phase in this context. It is a great throw off for the phases yet to come.
Chris also supplies some very valuable audience managment tips that are applicable to many effects. I know the plot has been suggested by others but I don't know that it has ever been released in this kind of detail from someone who obviously has used it a great deal and skillfully communicates his passion for his presentation.' - 'There is some very clever handling; I especially like the first phase in this context. I started reading and was thrilled both by the effect and the method. Basically, Christopher uses an old idea by Ted Annemann and combined it with a second method and finally added clever scripting that grants a great impact on any audience.
What is so great about it is that the revelations of the thoughts get more and more impossible while at the same time cancelling out all the possible solutions you might think of when seeing the trick performed. I should have read my Annemann more intensely. Lucky me, Christopher did it for me and added some great twists to make this a real winner.
All you need are some pay envelopes, your own business cards, pens and a pad of paper. Nothing is gimmicked in any way. You can even do this impromptu! And what is even more important: There are no slights or fumbling involved so you can really concentrate on the performance which is the main goal when doing mentalism routines.
Overall: 10/10. There is nothing more to say!'
