This marking system allows you to fully know what card you are looking at without ever seeing its face. The system can be learned in just moments and will stick in your memory. While many assume 8 o'clock would be the value of 8, that is not the case. Unless one knows the secret, they'd never be able to tell what card they were looking at. And to those unfamiliar with marking systems, it is perfectly hidden by the idea of time passing by as indicated within different random times indicated on the back of each card!
