A mobile phone and a folded piece of paper are in full view from the outset of the trick. A card is freely selected by a spectator, remembered and returned to the deck. With no false moves the deck is immediately put into the card case and then into the magicians pocket. The magician then explains that he has a friend who can read minds over great distances. The spectator then opens the piece of paper, which has a phone number on, and is told to use the phone to ring the number and ask the person on the end of the line to name his card. The correct card is always named. The magician never speaks from the time the number is rung until the correct card is named.
TECHNICAL INFORMATION
This effect requires the spectator to make a telephone call during the routine. You will need access to a mobile phone or landline.
You will need the assistance of a second person to answer the phone call and name the spectators card.
