I am not a big fan of of this recent purchase it’s more for beginners most of the items in the box and tricks are mostly tricks that are you learned at a earlier age,but having said that the packaging is impressive sorry not for me

This compendium has everything you could want to perform some very convincing tricks where you (and not the gimmicks or props) take centre stage. As Shin Lim mentions in the brilliant 2 hour tutorial this is a building block and introduction to give you a feel of what it's like to have someone beg you to do it again or tell them how you did it and why you won't.
This is the best magic set for the money I've seen (and I was born in the 70's) - fantastic

A really great magic set for a beginner magician. I am 35 years old and love doing tricks fo my kids and the really enjoyed all of these tricks and my son who is 4 has begged that ne be taught magic so all certainly be keeping this in good condition to pass on to him as his first magic set when he is a bit older.

The Shin Lim walk through videos are excellent, the included guide to 'basic' sleights is also good, the range of tricks included is very different to other sets, but what lets it down is the quality of the contents, the cards feel very cheaply produced, the 'gimmicks' are very basic and again feel very cheaply made.
For me the value in the set is the one on one tuition with Shin Lim.

The downloadedable 150 minute video instructions are fun to watch and although low production values are of good quality. You get the chance to learn modern workings of old moves and the camera work is fine, which is more than you can say for lock-down hair styles! The set is nicely put together, with respect to the craft and I found it inspirational in surprising ways. I've merely scratched the surface as if this box is treated properly there's a lot of learning to be done. Overall I would say it is good value for money and something worth treasuring but not in the sens of keeping as an investment. This is a kit to be opened and learnt and used. I was a little disappointed with the book that accompanies it but that said, stuff you would usually dismiss as begineers tat is instructed in such a fashio that you'd look at it anew with some nice moves that introduced me to spirit writin etc anew. Yes, this is a purchase you could grow to love. Enjoy!
