Very Informative book

I've been a full time magician/entertainer, and DJ for around 45 years, pretty much retired now but I am still involved with Magic and currently President of The North Western Society of Magicians.
I enjoy developing ideas and helping new members of our club, and feel that this book will be an invaluable asset in developing my own, and their, performance.

Helpful guide packed with very useful tips (that I have now taken onboard!)

The author blends personal anecdotes with sharp observations, revealing how familiarity can breed indifference—or worse, scepticism—when it comes to magic. From the cousin who insists on knowing “how it’s done” to the friend who casually ruins your punchline, the book explores the emotional and psychological dynamics that make family audiences uniquely tricky.

Very useful tips

I haven't used it yet. I just did the reading.

Easy and enjoyable to read.

Very useful guidelines for beginners, not just in magic but in entertainment generally. I learned very early on not to provide music for family parties because the 'magic' isn't there I'm not a 'proper DJ' I'm just 'Lionel'. This was no reflection on my ability either. By all means practice on family and friends for constructive feedback but make it clear that this is not a 'performance'. They will enjoy being your guinea pigs and will tell you if they spot anything they shouldn't, where an audience will just leave bad reviews.

It takes time to learn it and practice.

Imperative that all performers understand and immediately put to use the information in this ebook.
The art of magic is exactly that, and although this doesn't teach you a trick per se, it absolutely teaches you how to become better.
The philosophy of art is just as imperative to understand as the physical and technical execution. Do yourself a favour and add to cart already.

Been into ‘tricks’ for a year now. The tricks were grating on friends family which I realised quickly. More into cardistry now.
Great guide to help ensure you don’t do people’s head in LOL….!

Good advice for beginners!@

There was plenty of helpful advice which once you've read it, seems pretty obvious - but that's the thing about hindsight - we're all blessed with it.
I found this very useful, practical and will now curb my natural instinct to 'share'.

Very informative

A nice e-book. Definitely worth the time. No more than a 20 minute read but it has some good tips about how to showcase magic to friends and family.

Thank you very much for sharing this material.
Congratulations

I'm glad I 've read this ebook. It opened my mind about certain things I didn't even considered before about when and how do magic. But most importantly, who should watch me perform magic.
I'm shy and I always overthink things before do something others would perceive "curious or even impossible" such as magic, so reading this book helps me to think deeper about before show someone magic.
Thank you very much!
