Five years ago Wayne fox and David Penn created The 52-1Deck. Not only used by leading magicians, all around the world, it even made its way into the repertoires of top television magicians including DYNAMO.

With The Accumulator Deck the odds have increased!

Not only can you cut to a spectator's thought of card, you can ask a spectator to name a number between one and fifty-two and when you count down, the card they are thinking of is at the number they name!

How the routine plays out:

You spend the cards and show them all completely different.
You ask one spectator to look at and remember a red card, and another to remember a black card as you spread them again.
Someone names a number between one and fifty-two.
You cut to the first spectator's card even though they never tell you their card.
You then count down to the number that is freely named, and the second spectator's card is at that number!

How is the deck different to The 52-1 Deck?
The design is completely different allowing you to turn over any card and show it at the number that is named. You can still perform the original 52-1 effect, and additional cards are provided to allow you to do that.

This is an absolute great trick. Once you learn the method, it's completely deceiving and nobody has been able to even comprehend how I was doing it. Some were just falling out of their seat. Essentially, nobody says their card and you cut the deck right to one of the cards, and the other is an ACAAN, so it's a double whammy. Beautifully constructed. Baffling for everyone who watches it happen. I did accidentally cut to the wrong card, because the person didn't describe what they did very well when I did the question patter, but then I narrowed down by using the patter again, and then cut again to their card, which is still just as amazing for them! I absolutely love it and use it all the time now.

This is an outstanding trick BUT it does take some practice: you can't just do it "out of the box". I watched the explanation video carefully three times. The result, though, is spectacular - definitely the best trick I have. Two tips: - I found it easier to cut on the long edge of the pack; it's worth experimenting to see what works best for you. - for the second part of the trick it isn't explicitly mentioned but if the spectator selects an odd number, choose red and hence black for an even number.

The accumulator deck is simply brilliant, allowing you to cut to the thought of card of one audience member and then have the thought of card of another spectator at a suggested number in the deck. I had to watch the whole tutorial a couple of times to completely nail the ‘maths’ of the routine, and practice several times using all variable possible outcomes before performing in public. But once I had confidence in the method I’ve been performing this wonderful, clever routine and getting fantastic responses. Definitely my favourite purchase of the last two years and highly recommended.

Great trick, takes a bit of time to get your head around it, nothing too spectacular though - took me a couple of hours in total over a few days, just coming back to it every now and again. The results when performed are fantastic - it requires a degree of confidence especially when performing to those who just give you nothing - who just stare at you stony faced, prepared to say nothing. So, what I’d say is choose the audience well and that this trick would probably be easier to perform to well an oiled audience or one that’s relaxed and less keen to see you burn. When this trick goes down properly, the reaction is just like the promo video. Yes I’d recommend this trick. Yes the reactions are brilliant - just difficult to get out of the dead end that is audience members who refuse to engage with you, in the hope they see you burn.
