Mathieu Bich's new take on the Princess Card Trick Plot...
The Princess Card Trick is an age old effect that is still used today due to its simple and effective premise, a spectator merely thinks of one of 5 or 6 different playing cards and commits it to memory, telling no one. the magicianthen looks at the cards and removes one playing card, the rest of the remaining playing cards are dealt down face up and none of them are the card the spectator thought of.
Mathieu Bich has taken this plot, (usually seen as a computer effect that works through the screen) and given it his own twist, not only making it extemely easy to perform but also extremely deceptive. Here is the effect:
The magician shows 6 cards (really 6 cards) and asks the spectator to merely think of one of them, not to tell anyone, just remmeber it.
The magician then looks at the cards himself and reaches into the packet and turns one card face down.
The other cards are shown and none of them are the spectator's thought of card. The face down card is given a rub and turned over to show you have removed the ink from the spectator's thought of card!
