Cut and Restored Rope

A classic of magic! Imagine this: An examined piece of rope is cut into two pieces. The pieces are tied together and wrapped around the magician’s hand. When the rope is unwound, it has magically restored! If you follow the secret instructions enclosed, you too can perform this classic magic effect. Bonus effect included - The Triple Rope Trick! The performer shows three pieces of rope that are about equal in length, pointing out that all three are knotted together at both ends. He unties one group of the three knotted ends and then reties two of the ropes together again. Next, he unties the other group of three knotted ropes and reties two of these ropes together. This leaves the three ropes tied together in a chain of three. The performer coils the rope around his hand. When the rope is uncoiled, all the knots have vanished and the three ropes have amazingly become one single piece! The rope can then be examined.
